We will be planning, designing, and possibly building our electronic sign this. This is a fairly large group project (and will likely take a few weeks). We would love for everyone to help out.
As nothing is set in stone, here is what we SUSPECT this project will entail:
- Welding: at least a 8′x2′ sign, but I am guessing it will be around 12′x2′
- Lighting: we are thinking rope-lighting, but it may not be bright enough
- Animation: each letter will be individually controlled, hopefully we will have several animations
- Electronics: Solid State Relays, Arduino, etc
- Programming: We would like to use an arduino to control the relays / animations
- Electrical: Mounting the sign / running the electrical to the sign
This will be visible from I15 (MILLIONS of people will see this project every year, come so you can say you helped!)
