Arduino Night Recap

Author kiyoshigawa    Category News     Tags

As many of you know, our second weekly Arduino night happened yesterday. It was another great success. We had some new people drop in, and had a generally good time working on projects using Arduinos and other electronics. We’ll be doing it all again next Saturday, so please stop by to check us out. Bring along any projects you’d like to work on or show off, or just come down and see what we’re about.

Moving In

Author kiyoshigawa    Category News     Tags

We’re continuing to unpack and organize our considerable pile of electronics and other fun toys. Here’s a picture of some new desks we are moving into. If you squint real close you can also see one of our minimalist Arduinos on a breadboard. We hope to have them ready for mass programming and testing this weekend.

Bulk Arduino Components Arrive!

Still waiting on a couple more parts and we can start putting the kits together but this is about 90% of what we need. For those wondering, there are enough components here to build 100+ Arduino’s! (Plus some extra stuff for other projects)

Kits will be offered to the public (without a PCB) in the next couple weeks. These will not replace a standard Arduino, and will not include a PCB or a programmer (USB connection). These are intended for advanced users who wish to build permanent circuits from their projects.

For those interested, the one-off kits will be available in the next couple weeks.
The final cost will be $7.50 + s/h. Parts list below:

qty part
(1) ATMEGA328P-PU with Arduino Bootloader
(1) 28-Pin DIP Socket
(1) LM7805CT 1A 5V Positive Voltage Regulator
(1) 16.0MHz Clock Crystal
(2) 22pf Capacitor
(2) 10uF Capacitor
(3) 10k Ohm Resistor
(2) 150 Ohm Resistor
(2) Green 3mm LED
(1) Wiring Diagram / Instructions
